Meet Andy Thomson

Andy Thomson is Senior Counsel at Baritz & Colman LLP in Boca Raton and focuses his work in the area of business litigation and dispute resolution. Andy Thomson has experience in bringing people together and finding common sense solutions to solve complicated and complex issues.

Licensed to practice law in Florida and before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Andy has extensive legal and business experience, ranging from large worldwide organizations to small local businesses and individuals. Andy’s pro bono work with local companies and individuals has impressed on him the importance of giving back to his community to help make a difference in people’s lives.

For five straight years (2013-2017), Andy has been recognized as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers, and he was recently awarded the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County’s Non-Profit Award. Andy has been a guest lecturer at Florida Atlantic University’s College of Education and the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Guardianship Training Program. In 2015, the New Leaders Council named Thomson as a member of the 2015 Palm Beach Fellows. 

Andy Thomson currently serves on the board of directors of the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce’s Golden Bell Education Foundation, the Children’s Home Society of Florida’s Palm Beach Division, and on the advisory councils for the Florence Fuller Child Development Centers in Boca Raton and the Palm Beach County Metropolitan Planning Organization. Thomson also serves as a Community Captain for the annual Boca Raton Bowl.

Andy is a product of Boca Raton – his parents met while attending Florida Atlantic University. He is a graduate of public schools, played football at Georgia Tech where he earned a degree in electrical engineering, and attended the University of Miami Law School where he received his J.D. Andy and his wife, Joanna, have three young children.
